For the Next 3 weekends EU Contenders Trials S2 will take place as an online tournaments. All teams will face all teams and the top 4 teams ( in base of how much win they are able to archieve) will go to EU Contenders S2 while the bottom 4 will have to wait until Open Division S3. Trials will be played on the old patch.

The full schedule is here https://www.over.gg/event/227/overwatch-contenders-2018-season-2-trials-europe.

Coming from last Contenders:

Team Singularity

Team Roster: DPS: FahL Obling Flex:Molf1g Main Tank: Nerfdd Supports : Mono Lind

Roster swaps since last Contenders: Mono in ( Previously on BP and Mosaic) Khave out ( now on 6nakes)

Team Description: Full danish team who brought in one of the best main support in Europe, they looked pretty solid on Pit specially on supports and tank side. FahL and Obling have alreasy proved to be a good dps duo.

Previous results with other Trials teams: Last season of contenders they beat That's a Disband 3-1, they lost 3-1 to 6nakes on Pit Championship EU S3 but they have the odd for a rematch

Bazooka Puppiez

Team Roster: DPS: ksp Tseini Flex:Moursi MirroR Main Tanks: Tonic Hypnott Supports : awkward Insomniaq

Roster swaps since last Contenders: A complete rebuilt for BP: Meza went to Northern Lights, Nesh is playing with 6nakes now while the others players have took different path.
ksp in from Koord Narwhals, Tsein in from Young and Beautifull, Moursi in from Big Nice, Hypnott and Insomniaq in from No Clout, Tonic in form O&H and awkward( who played with 6naks on PIt) in from Little Ducklings. MirroR is a vietnamese previously on the AUS scene.

Team Description: ksp made an amazing performaces as sniper during Pit. Tseini and Tonic are two of the best not-OWL players in all the west. Tonic has already proven in last contenders how much he dominate as Wiston. Moursi played greatly in the Open Division and made some great performances even with a team built in few days. Their main problem will probably be in the first games since some of these players were LFT few days ago.

Previous results with other Trials teams: On last Season of Contenders they beat Mosaic 3-2 ( now 6nakes) but now both teams have an almost complete rebuild so it doesnt really matter.

6nakes

Team Roster: DPS: Asking Nesh Flex:Hayko Main Tank: ChrisTFer Supports : Kodak khave

Roster swaps since last Contenders:All the danish players have taken a different path from this team. They brought in some players from last contenders: Hayko from CHF, khave from SNG and Nesh from BP. They also add Asking who is at his first big experience of Competitive OW.

Team Description: They are rocking on Pit Championship. Asking is the surprise of the tournament with his amazing hanzo. ChrisTFer and Hayko have both proven to be the best tank duo in Pit for now. Nesh is Nesh and hopefully he has finnaly found the path to succed. A lot of people from the scene consider them the favourite team along with One.Point.

Previous results with other Trials teams: they beat SNG 3-1 during Pit. They also beat 3-2 CIS HOPE ( who is not in Contenders Trials but played the Lan Playoffs last Contenders)

That's a Disband

Team Roster: DPS: Mauz Zeal Flex:BarbieQ9130 Main Tank: Kolsti Supports : Trispear Rubikon Izzy

Roster swaps since last Contenders: Insomniaq is now on BP, Casores is the coach of One.poinT, limmet is not on a Trials team and Track will play in NA with LNL.
Izzy come from Golden Sausage, Kolsti from Wind and Rain, Zeal from the T3 scene.

Team Description: Izzy Rubikon Trispear is a scary supports lineup. Kolsti is an improvement on their tank line. Some concers maybe come from the dps duo but Mauz has already proved his skill and Zeal is no joking.

Previous results with other Trials teams: they lost to SNG last Contenders.

Coming from Open Division:

Northern Lights

Team Roster: DPS: Riverboat Invision Flex:Kotetsu Main Tank: Meza Supports : Zekor Veineless

Roster swaps since Open Division: Lateks Leodeddz Caspere and Exorath had some important offers and they decided to leave the team. Meza came from BP, Veinelss played last open with Birb Bois, Invision came from Jigsaw ( Open Division S1) and Koretsu come from the T3 scene.

Team Description: Main problem will be coordination. RIverboat is a beast, Invision a great second dps. The king of the candles( Meza) is one of the great European tanks.
Veineless and Zekor bring in skill and experiences. They won Open DIvision and they will prove why ( even with a roster change) they deserve Contenders.

Previous results with other Trials teams: they beat Samsung Morning Stars Blue 3 times in a row with the old lineup and they to go for the forth on their first match.

Samsung Morning Stars Blue

Team Roster: DPS: thebigone Najiny Flex:DragonEddy Main Tank: LUFT Supports : Linepro DNCE

Roster swaps since Open Division: Nothing.

Team Description: They finish Open Division at the second place ( first in the regular season) proving their ability. Except the supports the players are not really knowed outside Italy but they will bring some quality in the game. Linepro is one of the best Brigitte in the world right now, DNCE is DNCE, while LUFT and DragonEddy seemed solid all their game. Now is time for the dps to prove themselves at Europeans level.

Previous results with other Trials teams: they beat Samsung One.poinT 2 times in a row during Open Division playoffs. They also beat Augmente Autorithy ( now We Have Org) during regular season and playoffs. They lost all their match against Northern Lights

One.poinT

Team Roster: DPS: Hortic Frost Flex:Brussen Main Tank: mowzassa Supports : Scaler Phatt

Roster swaps since Open Division: Nothing.

Team Description: Even if they they ended 3rd in the Open Division they are praised as one of the 2 best teams in these Trials. Is not Difficult to see why: Frost is insane and Hortic have a lot of experience, mowzassa is one of the best main tank outside OWL and he improved a lot with Rein. Scaler has already proved himself during his time with Golden Sausage but now he has a bigger opportunity to bring his plays into the screen who matters. Phatt and brussen complete the team with some solid skill.

Previous results with other Trials teams: They lost twice to Samsung Morning Stars Blue in the OD playoffs, but they beat We Have Org in a convincing way.

We Have Org

Team Roster: DPS: Wayfast Dannedd MrDragonlol Flex:TwolzZ Main Tank: Midna Supports : KaasIsBaas Jofi Taang

Roster swaps since Open Division: They added Taang to their roster.

Team Description: They end 4th Open Division but they are probably the yongest team in the Trials. Explosive skill and talent for these guys. All the players appeared really strong during their matches. Dont sleep on this team

Previous results with other Trials teams: They lost twice to Samsung Morning Stars Blue and once to One.poinT during Open Division.

Imo yes....i mean Diya is really good and all but he is the type of player that rocks on minor teams and would dissapoint on major teams( i hope i am wrong but this is the impression he gave me)...mg always looked solid when he played...i think he is at Geguri level as offtank...i hope we can see him in the future...

posted about 6 years ago

He was the best non korean player on Shanghai imho....

Sad to see such a great team fall apart....but this new rebuild is nut! The flag meta is strong here!

Can i ask Canadians if they are happy having Jayne HC instead of Renanthera or MrBleepe....cause i dont see a single reason why he would be a better coach than the other 2....but i hope i am wrong

Nevix as 7th ia probably the best 7th you can have in all OW...i hope this time Sweden will be able to reach Finals :D

Since OWC teams will start the try outs in these days i think would be interesting watching what other people ideal national team is.
I am not sure about wich team italy should field but i bet this time the competion will be more close. Personally i would like to see also some minor names(who could make their way for OWL here) on the teams: like Chubz as main tank for France or Lateks/LullSiSH for Sweden....let me know what you think and what team should your Nation field :)

The fact that Trials will be played on old patch will damage them tho....while SMS blue will probably get a boost...i think on trials will be more close( Still NL proved to be Contenders to Contenders title S2 )

posted about 6 years ago

Samsung Morning Stars Blue
Northern Lights
Augmented Autorithy
one.poinT
Are the 4 teams qualified for Trials....good luck to all of them :).
Ps( Northern Lights won open finals over SMS Blue, one.poinT come third and Augmented Autorithy fourth)

Manticore have releasead their roster which now will play under the name Rentless

And Invision will play for Wind and Rain.

Contenders Trials will be played on patch 1.22 while all the Open Division teams( and Trials too) have played on 1.24 for the last 3 weeks.
This is really bad for some reason:
1 Open division teams have no access to the server with the 1.22 until they qualify for Trials, this means they will have a lot of time less to train for Trials than the old-Contenders team. Plus all the work they have done in the last 3 weeks is almost garbage.
2 Trials-from Contenders team will be only able to scrim against eachother until Open Division team will not pass to Trials...this means that all the most competitive( or at least in theory) enemy will see their strats.
3 Contenders will be probably(?) played on 1.24 ( i hope) so this move make no sense.
4 This is how to kill lower tier scene cause who decided this move dont give a f about T2/3 scene.

The only possibly thing to do is to pubblic express our doubts to Blizzard and Path to Pro cause this is serious.....

If you are a player/coach/someone involved now or later in Trials contact Dogman cause he is doing a petition against this..
