Main thing is they put up a good fight.
I don't think they ever intended for heroes to drop out. They just overbalance, as if it's all planned and they don't want to admit mistakes. I can remember literally one small, sensible change, when Soldier76's damage got tweaked by a point per bullet.
I'm priced out. :(
Western teams now getting credit for putting up good fights in defeats to Koreans.
Think she'll be weak in solo queue but hopefully inspires some Korean set plays.
Interesting koth analysis (CaptainPlanet). Winston, Genji and Tracer are picked for their fast ults, not because they can get to the point quickly and aren't instadead when they get flanked? Hmm.
Don't use the roles prescriptively, they just happen to describe most setups. If your best three heroes are in three different roles, and so are your teammates', then you'll be switching roles a lot if you hope to win.
The stories are specific to regions, and the stories are the whole point. Misfits and Rogue are very deliberately Swedish and French, and you can relate to them by thinking of Swedish and French players you've been in teams with, or just people you've known irl. This might be comically inaccurate - http://imgur.com/gallery/hpnfGSm - but we all have versions of it in our heads, helping us filter and understand results. And a year from now presumably even South Koreans will be American, so use the flags to tell interesting stories, yes.
Honestly they're all good.
Can you put the audio on a podcast feed so I can do the listening thing?
I mean... you'd think he would.
Played for five minutes, can see why Bastion is getting complaints. He's basically Soldier76 with permanently full health.
Being bad at strategy games because we lack the team structure and communication protocols is nothing to be proud of. Should be a source of great shame, imo.
If it beats what's beating everything else, it isn't the old meta. Bullet dodged, at least until Rogue play better teams.
Blizzard must be relieved that 4 tanks didn't quite work.
Looks like Rogue will have to wait for Envy and Misfits to come back before they have any competition in NA.
Nice to see good Europeans, at this level anyway.
Ya, four-team groups should be double elim.
Blizzard's league will be interesting; maybe season 1 will just be 8 Korean teams being transplanted to American cities.
When is the Monthly Melee? Will they have a full team?
They were asking for new guys to help with that.
No point arguing over these lists, there aren't enough results to know with any kind of certainty (there is a gap after the top 3 though, I think). More like a useful reminder of which teams to watch (why Meta Athena are here - great form and they have some cool set plays). APEX will be helpful, after that who knows.
:O
Oh, that would make sense! The mods here would know one way or another, see if you can tease a hint out of them.
Said they already had an offer. Odd to break up that team though, seemed really good.
Also they're mostly young guys, and you need them for an esports audience. Sloppy groupthink is as inevitable as memes. I don't see a better solution than releasing the correct information before hearsay has a chance to become embedded.
Didn't iddqd get kicked twice for personality reasons? That doesn't mean toxic, but it surely means a personality that fits uneasily in a team.
twitch down?
Nice work! Any chance we can have Scotland back?
Do we know how Misfits are doing in scrims? Is it all coming together?
Yeah but it's standard practice to not write the story until there's a story to write, with quotes. You can use "a source close to the team" if necessary, it's better than nothing.
Not sure this is news at this point.
edit: I don't mean because 'everyone knows'. I mean that without quotes it isn't much above gossip.
You have to be impressed that a scene is reckoned to have so much potential it's worth creating junk content. I checked etf2l recently and they were without a front page news writer for over a month. :/
Panthera the best Koreans now? Is it even possible to say?
Will the same four Western teams be invited, or is that more fluid?
This is an intricately structured tournament. These two didn't qualify for season 1 so they have to come through the qualifiers for season 2, and one will fail here. Meanwhile teams that did qualify last season (how long are seasons?) but didn't finish in the bottom four are through automatically, which includes Flash Lux and Conbox T6, who might be really good but I've seen very little of them.
Next patch meta: Sombra, Roadhog, Soldier76, Mei, only one healer.
#25, I think he'd already confirmed with the team owner.
Maybe should only allow NA players so these aren't so one-sided.
They need someone thinking big picture like InternetHulk does. Seems they've never had that.
These Torb+Symmetra defences are looking very strong generally.
SEAGOD
IT HAPPEN!
They actually looked like a team for parts of that.
Interesting, apparently giving up on 'the meta' and having enigma Tracer and clockwork Pharah/McCree. Hope it works.
With the casters calling out all the tanks I think there will be a balance patch out pretty soon.
Interesting, Zarya and Pharah not as dead as people thought.
Yah let's get some inside story.
Gotta be LH, but I see Misfits becoming the best in the west.
