frags were nice but the blur made it frustrating to watch

feels like it (refresh rate + 10?)
my understanding is that it's just a label and the tournament is open to pretty much whoever's interested
there are so few players/teams in the beta that it's actually a struggle to get these cups filled -- just take a look at the wiki page for proof
hope the coolmatt/talespin team is playing
looking forward to it
carnage + 5 quake players???

starts 6 PM PST tonight (~10.5 hours from this post)
i signed up on binarybeast under the assumption that the team name wouldn't just be my username
there are enough options in the game to deal with him (zarya, winston, mei, tracer, etc.) right now that I don't really think he's overpowered at all. when you see a rampaging genji, you have to also examine the supporting cast and more often than not he'll be buffed by zenyatta/symettra/zarya.
he's also one of the few (only?) direct counters to widowmaker after the mccree nerf.
I think everyone just needs to have different expectations about the type of game this is. A ton of the outplay potential in this game is tied directly to cooldowns, timing, and coordination rather than movement/juking/aim.

i'll be playing in it with some other tf2 players: https://twitter.com/SombreroGG/status/663616300783038464
anyone aware of any other rosters?
no fps cap and no configs but by default the native resolution selected isn't at the maximum possible refresh rate:

the number in parenthesis is the refresh rate (mine defaulted to 99)
the front page is just temporary until I get a system/staff in place to produce regular content and add events
it's not really important to me to get this out there at this stage in the game when most interested players don't even have beta access yet, but the idea is to eventually be the tftv/hltv/teamliquid equivalent for overwatch
all the heroes with aoe/multi-target ults
zarya, mccree, reaper, pharah, reinhardt, hanzo, roadhog, tracer
whats the fov limit currently
90 but it's not tf2 90 -- feels more like 75-80
can you significantly lower your graphics?
not really. the lowest graphics settings still make your game look pretty good.
there's certainly counter-play to her but it's really frustrating playing against a good one. from my personal experience shields (particularly reinhardt's), hard-engage, and tracer are good ways to deal with widow.
Now I have some questions. I'm told the types take different amounts of damge. Anyone got specifics on that?
armor works by reducing your white health loss by a flat amount per shot until all of your armor is gone so it's really effective against high rate of fire weapons like tracer's smg.
from what I can tell every other health type behaves as you'd expect, although there are some interesting shield interactions that aren't immediately obvious. shields stop bullets and projectiles but not any melee attacks or winston's lightning flamethrower thing.
not really looking to encourage some of the behaviors that ended up being commonplace on tf.tv
