yeah I agree envy, but I think it still needs a killfeed for spectating. Something less graphical than the one here, smaller and just words.

That looks SO horrible. Dual cams are iffy at the best of times, even when PGL tries to implement them in their CS casts, and this looks awful.
I think a lot of it is going to be "stalematey" in the sense that the defending team has a very good chance of completely repelling the attacks for a long time. But there is constant action going on; it's not like tf2 so far where a single pick is a cue to push so people will not even dare take fights in a hold. People are constantly going in, even on defense, trading frags and causing havoc. I think that's probably to do with the quick respawns on defense and the fact that the offense has to walk all the way there, trades aren't bad on def.
I've so far found it really interesting watching the "stalemates" as the attacking team sync ults and push corridors trying to give themselves an opening, change the composition to counter the defense and then push. Maybe it'll get more boring in time but I'm not finding it boring despite the slow overall pace of the game, because each individual thing is happening at a fast pace.
I quite like the idea of rockets headshotting for more damage at close range :( then people have to aim them accurately for big damage
Good to see the rocket headshot change. I think the same should go for any attack you don't ever aim to hit a hs with and are essentially random crits. Junkrat pipes come to mind.
As far as I know junkrat pipes don't headshot and never did.
Can they really hope to prevent some people having a bad attitude in a competitive game? The people who act like this are prevalent, or at least present, in every competitive game or sport. I think it's a noble idea but if it directly impacts those just trying to play the game (like the killfeed idea, what the fuck???) then it's just bordering on stupid imo.
If ESEA picks up overwatch before matchmaking comes out for tf2 I can see the latter being dropped like a soggy sausage. I wonder when leagues will decide to pick this game up officially, if there are enough people in the open beta...
This is super helpful, I've been poring over it for the past few days so I know what everything is called and what it does.
I think people are just doing it via direct messaging since there are so few people in the game. An irc channel seems outdated but would be useful. Would this site or discord be feasible?
Is this where we post our battle ids and are salty? Awesome!
