I watched his stream when he was under contract with FaZe but not a ton since he's been on c9. From what I've seen on Twitter he seemed happier since joining c9. Idk maybe I'm retarded, but as someone who has had a lot of mental/emotional problems I payed attention to mendos sense of humor, tone, choice of words, frequency of tweets etc.. He seemed a lot less reserved

Option A: Wow this western team looks like they could be a contender for number 1 team in the world! Lets invite them and see how they hold up against Koreans

Option B: This team has a roster of "star players" who have a lot of experience and a large following, lets invite them and see how they debut!

Neither are bad options. Its not hard to see where NRG would fit among teams (assuming no internal issues caused bad performances) they clearly arent a bunch of tier 2 no namers.

I think the real issue is only inviting 2 western teams, then this wouldnt be a cause for concern...

Sometimes you get invited based on the hype around the team, its esports, that happens. Sure the squad itself hasn't had any showings but it's not like its a bunch of randoms.
