ESL have announced the cancellation of the Go4Overwatch series, ending their run since 2016.
Starting with September, our Go4OWs will be cancelled. The community cups will continue and if their numbers improve, the Go4 series may return.

The Go4Overwatch series hosted weekly and monthly tournaments, with most of them taking place in the European region.
ESL stated to over.gg that the reason for the discontinuation was the lack of player signups and prize funding. They also said that community cups will continue, and if they see enough numbers, the Go4 series could return.
The Go4Overwatch series was the stepping stone for many European teams on their way to the top throughout much of 2016 and 2017. Its weeklies became the proving grounds for the likes of Vivi's Adventure, Cyclone, and the Copenhagen Flames.
The last Go4Overwatch cup, #117, was won by Marv United.
