Meta Gaming have announced that former DeToNator.KOREA coach Sungwoo has joined Meta Athena Meta Athena Inactive Jasp3r Kim Hyun-wook (김현욱) off tank Tamper Ma Ji-min dps AlphaYi Kim Joon (김준) dps Flora Lim Young-woo (임영우) dps InHyeok Jeong In-hyeok tank Takoyaki Lee Young-hyun tank HALF Park Jong-seo (박종서) support Named Seo Won-jung (서원중) support as the team’s new coach.

His addition is the most recent change to Meta Athena after the team’s bottom four finish in Contenders Korea, where they placed last in their round robin group without a single win to their name. The team also saw the departure of DPS player BigBox earlier this month.

Sungwoo joins after the disbandment of DeToNator.KOREA, who coached the team since last year, and helped them take the Contenders Pacific title in a nearly flawless run.

Meta Athena is set to compete in the Trials, where they'll have to fight for a spot in the second season of Contenders Korea.
