Team BlossoM has revealed that former GC Busan tank player Ariel has retired from professional Overwatch. His retirement comes after his teammates on Busan moved over to the London Spitfire franchise in the Overwatch League.
#아리엘 #로얄로더 #오버워치 pic.twitter.com/xCT7PPNimb

Translation: We wish to announce that Ariel, who has been with the GC Busan Squad for the whole Royal Roader journey, will discontinue his activities as a pro. As we send messages of thanks to Ariel for being with us until now, please also cheer for his future.
Ariel was GC Busan’s tank player since APEX Challengers Season 4, helping them reach 2nd place in the development league and earning an auto-promotion to APEX Season 4. Though he only played in the group stage of APEX Season 4, he’d be a contributor to the team’s Cinderella run, becoming the first Challenger team in APEX history to win an APEX title in their first season. His final matches with the team was at APAC Premier 2017, where they also took the top of the podium and claimed the status as the best team in the world at the time.
However, despite the London Spitfire franchise signing the GC Busan roster, Ariel was not included, leaving him as the only player remaining. He was also not announced as part of BlossoM’s new lineup, and will now be leaving the scene behind.
