The first day of play has been completed at DreamHack Winter's Overwatch Championship where six teams entered the BYOC Qualifier to battle for four spots in the main event that is set to kick off tomorrow at 12:00 CET / 06:00 EDT.
Team LDLC emerged as the clear leaders of the chasing pack having proceeded to stomp through qualification without dropping a map, beating each of the other three qualifiers in straight 2-0 fashion.
The only upset story of the day came in the form of PENTA Sports who battled back from the lower bracket, taking down homegrown challengers UnWanted 2-0 before serving up some ice-cold revenge in the Lower Bracket Final against the mousesports side that had knocked them down in the first place.
Final Standings
- Team LDLC
- PENTA Sports
- mousesports
- UnWanted
News of the draw for the groups is expected to follow tonight or early tomorrow morning.
