Those previously reported high profile departures have sent ripples across the pond of competitive Overwatch. No official statements have come out of the world’s number one team, IDDQD, regarding new acquisitions nor from the world’s number one player, TviQ, on the all new team he is cooking up.
The One Nations of Gamers Overwatch Invitational has borne the brunt of the aftermath. Here’s what has happened so far:
- Taimou and aKm to play for IDDQD as stand ins
- Unexpected availability issues force Melty eSports Club drop from the tournament
- Replacements are found in the form of world number nine IMPULSE 11
- EnVyUs declare themselves unable to play (in part due to Taimou jumping ship)
- Then from leftfield Veterans step up to make it NA versus EU versus Asia!
