This will be his first time on an Overwatch League team.

Unter was with the Hurricane since February as part of his first coaching role. He previously played the flex support role in the Oceania region, where he won both Contenders Australia titles in 2019 with ORDER.

He joins a coaching staff that includes fellow support-turned-coach Australian Gunba, who is an assistant coach on the team. The Valiant previously let go of assistant coach reprize and associate head coach Stoop in March due to economic struggles.

The Valiant now have three coaches total. Unter and Gunba coach under Packing10, the team's head coach.

The Valiant recently finished in the top four of the May Melee in North America, and are currently in 10th place in the regular season standings.
