Mer1t joins the roster after playing for LGE.Huya in Contenders China. Joining the team in the final week of the regular season, he helped LGE.Huya clinch their second championship title, which earned them a trip to the Gauntlet in Seoul.
Prior to LGE.Huya, Mer1t played for Kongdoo Panthera (later re-branded to Griffin) in Korea and New Paradigm in the Pacific region.
He joins a mostly brand new RunAway roster. After departing with five players and two coaches in the offseason, RunAway added four other players to their roster, including two former Overwatch League players. Mer1t will also be reuniting with former Griffin teammate ChiYo on RunAway.
RunAway have now finalized their seven-man roster for the 2020 season of Contenders Korea. The team will play in the Contenders seeding tournament that is set to begin on January 15.
