In addition, they announced their roster for an upcoming Taiwanese tournament.

The team last played under the A Bang banner during Contenders 2018 Season 1: Pacific. Since then, the roster was acquired by the Nova Esports organization. As Nova Esports and subsequently Nova Monster Shield, the team never missed a season of Contenders Pacific. They most notably finished twice in second place, during Contenders 2018 Season 3 and Contenders 2019 Season 1.

Nova Monster Shield announced in August that they will cease Overwatch operations.

The new roster is similar to the Contenders 2019 Season 1 Nova Monster Shield roster, with BLUE, Craz1S, NeXus, OYO and Jervyz returning. However, former team member SH1N and new additions Bubblekitty and Azalea will also be joining the squad.

SH1N played on A Bang during Contenders 2018 Season 1, but was not acquired by Nova Esports. This will be his first return to Contenders since then.

Bubblekitty joins after briefly playing for Far East Society in the last season of Contenders. Before that, he was a part of Incipience, which was acquired by Global Esports and finished in the quarterfinals of Contenders 2019 Season 1. Azalea, on the other hand, last played in Contenders in 2018 while on Xavier Esports. Both players were also the DPS duo of the Singaporean team at the Overwatch World Cup 2019, joining fellow national representative Jervyz on A Bang.

Contenders begins again in 2020 with the seeding tournament that commences on January 6.
