Nah, they looked like they didn't know how to play the meta since pretty much stage 4. So "should have won" isn't something I'd remotely associate with their playoff performance last year. Their play dictated where they ended the playoffs.

the have consistently been one of the most dominant team for 2 seasons, I feel like they deserve a title. Every time they lose (which isn't common) they get trash talked so much, it seems like people are starting to take their prowess for granted. Sure they don't have a stage title this season, or a golden stage, but two season in a row they conceded only 6 regular season losses, yet people still don't respect them? They have a not superb stage 4 and people suddenly forget this is the same team that has recorded less losses in the history of the OWL as Florida map wins in season 2 (I made that stat up, but it sounds somewhat believable).

To be fair, they are playing Titans, the one team with an even better win percentage in OWL. Also, Mayhem won 36 maps this season, so your intuition on that stat was correct, but maybe not for the reason you were thinking.

You don't "deserve" to win the league, you make it to the finals and win it

NYXL "deserves" nothing until they earn it. They prove the naysayers wrong the only way possible: by winning. Until that happens they'll remain the team that does well during the regular season but that can't stand up to the moment when the chips are down and the dicks are on the table.
