The Over Control from blizzard kills the expansion of tier 2 scene in poor countries. Anyone with solutions?

I dont think there would be acquirent but imho blizzard should try to "loan" the managment of T2 in a certain region to some investors. I still believe there would be some sort of profits around T2 but Blizzard is not using them. Like i think some sort of national league like football( soccer) would bring a lot of local viewers. But Blizzard will not do anything.

imo Valve's system is good they let dreamhack and etc organize LAN events for tier 2 teams or chill LANs like beyond the summit.

Problems is not really that they dont let people organize things. But rules are pretty shitty and also not enough interesting for 3rd party to do tournaments. ( I hope all of this will change in 2019 but i dont have too much faith honestly)

The "funny" part is that the system was working before they started announcing OWL.
Each region had plenty of "major" tournaments, monthly and weekly ones too.

I didn't like some decisions Blizzard took back there, but have to admit made sense, to hype up their main product (OWL) so that investors would actually get into it, the issue is that they didn't change their direction once OWL started kicking off.

Now? I believe is way too late, how many major esport orgs have joined the scene in the past 12 months? How many Contenders teams are orgless or still owned by OWL franchises?

Simply put, check what happened in NA with Toronto Esports, not even getting under the umbrella of an OWL team makes you sure you'll be able to keep your "branding" (and yes I know made no sense to be Boston's academy team and being based in Toronto, but still...)
