Today saw the announcement by Northern Gaming Red on Twitter that they had picked up former TeamYDKM DPS player Bird to fill the vacant sixth spot in their roster.

Their previous flex player, Jonathan "Exeon" Voth A.K.A. DumpTruck, had fallen out of favour with the team and was rumoured to be cut midweek. The rest of the fixture-packed week saw Bird playing on behalf of NG Red in what we can now see was his evaluation period.

With Bird now taking ownership of the DPS role, Mangachu has stepped sideways in to the flex position, both players have produced notably solid performances throughout Operation Breakout, Alienware Monthly Melee June and OG Invitational so far.

Team captain, Mangachu, had this to say about the acquisition:

"We feel like we've had more success with this roster compared to having Exeon. Bird has had experience with NapTime and Chance so it seemed like a good fit.

I'm not really happy with the way things happened, but we wish Exeon the best of luck with Overwatch, he has a lot of unlocked potential."

I'm not sure if Bird has had his official Northern Gaming media training yet… maybe he should be teaching the class?
