Splyce announced yesterday that Joshua "Steel" Nissan and Matthew "flame" Rodriguez will no longer be playing for their professional Overwatch team. Questions had recently been asked of Steel's future in the team when he was noticeably absent from the roster that competed in the BEAT Invitational and Beyond the Summit events.
Splyce only managed to take one map from ten across four tournament fixtures they played at the weekend, with Ryan "sycknesS" Mitchell standing in on the DPS duties for Steel who was said to be ill.
Getting snaked by a team is whatever, getting snaked by your friends kinda blows.

It may have come as a surprise to some to see Splyce also axe their flex, flame, but the team once known as Fine, I'll Go McCree clearly seems to have felt the time had come for a change and have announced public tryouts in their official statement:
"The Splyce Overwatch team has released Joshua "Steel" Nissan and Matthew "flame" Rodriguez from the current roster. We appreciate their dedication and hard work in the team's first steps. They were a pleasure to work with and we wish them the best in their future endeavors.
Steel will remain a part of Splyce as a featured streamer until he finds a home with a new team.
Splyce will hold open tryouts for one DPS player and one flex player to fill the open spots."
As a result Splyce have decided to forfeit their spot in the iBUYPOWER Summer Invitational with 1SHOT as the rumoured replacement.
The Splyce roster is currently:
- Bradford "PYYYOUR" Ross (Support)
- Jan "cozen" Lasota (Support)
- Matthew "clockwork" Dias (DPS)
- Eric "Papasmurf" Murphy (Tank)
- Bryan "Blackstar" Johnson (Coach)
- Victor "Victor" Csirip (Analyst)
